I was fishing at Lundy Lake in the Sierras years ago. Great for Browns. I was casting a gold Phoebe, I think a 1/2 oz. It felt a little funny on the retrieve and when I got it in, I had a Brown, just about the same size as the lure, with all 3 hooks in its mouth! Even the small ones can't resist this lure.

I have to agree wholeheartedly with the other reviewer. This lure is simple with no frills, whistles, or gimmicks, but it just dominates over other lures. Trout just love this one.

 only lure that never fails!
I bring a vast array of lures in my vest, but there all real just a wast. The only one I ever use is the Phoebe. guaranteed the limit every time. Usually I use gold and silver but last year I noticed the Gold attracts the big boys in the spring, at least in the north east.
